Building on his reputation as one of the hip-hop industry's most charitable artists, The Game will lend his talents to another good cause when he performs at the Boost Mobile RockCorps (BMRC) inaugural concert to benefit youth involved with community service.
Boost Mobile RockCorps (BMRC), a national organization that has motivated more than 16,000 young people to help their communities, announced that The Game will join forces with Korn, +44, Rise Against and Young Jeezy at the concert, which will take place at the Kodak Theatre in the Game's hometown of Los Angeles on March 30.
The concert is being staged as a reward for 3,000 members of BMRC who earned tickets by contributing four hours of volunteer work through the organization.
BMRC is the result of a partnership, now three years strong, between RockCorps, an organization harnessing the power of music to inspire volunteerism, and Boost Mobile, a wireless telecommunications brand.
Major reward concert events also are scheduled to take place at Atlanta's Fox Theatre and New York City's legendary Radio City Music Hall later this year, with additional tour stops to be announced next month.
The Game should be well-rehearsed for the gig, having just completed a successful run of shows throughout North America in support of his latest hit album, Doctor's Advocate.
Youth interested in becoming part of the Boost Mobile RockCorps movement can call BMRC at 1-888-ROCK-889, or log onto www.boostmobilerockcorps.com for more information and to register for membership. BMRC members will be notified of volunteer opportunities in their area.
